Highlights

4th International Conference in Adelaide was a success!

participants on balcony The three-day conference attracted over 230 participants from over 25 countries. We had over 115 presentations and 8 workshops. ISEqH would like to thank all the presenters for their contributions to a dynamic program of topics and interests in equity in health and thanks for those who provided content for our two central themes of aboriginal health and arts in health.
ISEqH would also like to thank our donors and sponsors who include the Department of Health of South Australia, the Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health, AusAID, Health Canada, the Australian Department of Health and Ageing, the International Development Research Centre (IRDC), and the March of Dimes. plenary room
Without their financial support, we would not be able to create a dynamic, representative program and subsidize participants from low-to-middle income countries to participate in our conference. And a big thank you to the local host organizing team at the Department of Public Health at Flinders University led by Fran Baum with whose collaboration, we were able to smoothly execute this conference. Report on Health Sector Reform (HSR) in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Region

The Americas Chapter of ISEqH has commissioned a report to document the experiences and lessons learned in HSR initiated during the years of 1995 to 2005 and their effects on equity in the access and delivery of services on the various countries of the LAC region. The evidence gathered reveals that for most countries, the implementation of HSR has not delivered the effects expected. Click here to download the full report.
